Welcome to weave in our weaving studio!

Our weaving studio, located in the brick building of Taitokortteli, warmly welcomes everyone to weave! No previous experience is needed—our textile experts are here to guide and support you throughout the process.

You can weave at your own pace during our opening hours, and by appointment also in the evenings and on weekends.

The daily weaving fee is 25 €. For members of Taito North Karelia, the fee is 12,50 €. As a member, you can also purchase a Kästyö Pass worth 80 €, which allows unlimited weaving for one year from the date of purchase (membership must be valid). In addition to the daily fee, we charge for the woven warp. The price per meter depends on the warp’s width, color, and weave structure. You can ask our staff for the exact price when booking your weaving time. Members receive a 10 % discount on warps and materials. The annual membership fee is 25 €, and you can join either online or at Taito Centre Joensuu.

The daily weaving fee and Kästyö Pass can also be paid using cultural benefit programs (Smartum, Epassi, Edenred).
